On this blog I plan to share with everyone pretty much everything about my travels, all the places I visited and the ones I want to visit in the future. I wanna tell you as much as I can about cheap traveling and where you can find the best accommodation or which are the locations that you HAVE TO SEE when you’re in one of the cities I mention.
In this post I also wanna tell you about my latest trip to Rome. I’ve been dreaming about visiting this city for years so being able to finally go there was something really special for me. I was preparing for this journal for a few weeks, I find myself a nice room to stay there for the time of my trip. I basically bought tickets for the plane, and all the things that I had to take with me there.
I’ve bought the plane tickets few weeks earlier and find a great bargain, you should look at the pages of different airlines and just buy tickets when the prices are lower, aby buying it weeks or even months in advance you can save some money that will be more useful during your trip.
I’ve stayed in San Lorenzo Guest House, I’ll post the link to the page where you can find more informations at the end! But what I liked about that place is the fact that every room has its own bathroom and also air conditioning! What’s more the localisation is so good when you really want to see the most of that city, and you can have dinner and other meals in there, they have a really great cook and the prices are reasonable, I loved the food and barely ate anything in other places. It also has a great connection with the airport and some bus or train stations.
When it comes to sightseeing I think that everyone wants to see the Colosseum located in the Historic Center (“Centro Storico” in Italian). It’s the most emblematic monument to visit in Rome! Like I can’t even imagine being in that city without visiting that place, if I’ll ever come back to Rome which I plan to do in the future, I’ll definitely go there again. The wait in the line can be quite long, as I said it’s one of the places that everyone wants to see, if you want to avoid being in line for hours you can buy skip the line tickets for the Colosseum, with or without guided visit.
Another place that you should see even just because that the tickets you buy for Colosseum include it is The Roman Forum. Beautiful place, I enjoyed being there and took many different photos. I’m not that interested in history and I’m definitely not a fan of guided trips, but if you wanna get to know something more about this place you should think about guide.
The Trevi Fountain another must-see place for anyone visiting Rome, it’s the most famous fountain in the Europe so how could you not see it when you’re in this city? There’s a lot of people too, but you don’t have to wait in line or buy tickets you just go there, can grab some ice creams or something different to eat and enjoy it while sitting near the fountain or just have a casual walk.
When I mentioned ice creams I meant gelato of course it’s the best thing you can eat, I love sweets and this was something I can’t forget about so when you’re near the fountain you can go to ice cream shop San Crispino or gelateria “Giolliti” these are the two places that are said to serve the best desserts, you can go to both and then decide which gelato you liked more. Oh, and don’t let the long lines to scare you! It’s really worth the wait, and you’ll know it as soon as you get the ice creams!

Here are the links to the place I stayed and the ice cream shops I mentioned. Enjoy!
